Living next to the Royal National Park in Sydney is a gift. It is a source of peace, beauty and inspiration. For my partner Jane and I, it has become our best friend. Nature holds wisdom for life and like our own lives it is a work in progress. I've been drawn to Nature's rhythms through the colours of a Sydney Red Gum shedding it's bark, the slow rub of water over sandstone, the still world of a rock pool, a flower. Bush fires ravage the landscape and yet are essential to generate life; wind, salt and water sculpture fragile sandstone into sensuous shapes; water, light and wind play on the surface of a creek to create dazzling colour. These processes have shaped my photographic eye. Line, colour, texture and composition reveal beauty. I see this beauty in the everyday things around us as well; the hull of a boat, a beach flag, a rock pool railing. They remind us of our experiences with and in nature. I trust my images are food for your imagination, bring enjoyment and enrich you. 'Celebrate Life!' Tony Rea
